The Art of Pixar - The Complete Colorscripts from 25 Years of Feature Films (Revised and Expanded)

Author(s): Pixar

Film & TV

Since Toy Story's release in 1995, Pixar Animation Studios has set the standard for contemporary animation with a range of classic and influential feature films and shorts. In this revised and expanded edition for the 25th anniversary of Pixar's feature films, The Art of Pixar collects the breathtaking behind-the-scenes visual process of colour scripts - sequential paintings that visually represent key story moments from each film and set the lighting, colour, and tone during the filmmaking process.

This reissue removes the 2011 edition's concept art galleries, replacing them with the complete colour scripts from all Pixar feature films post-2011: Brave, Monsters University, Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur, Finding Dory, Cars 3, Coco, Incredibles 2, Toy Story 4, Onward, and Soul (along with their accompanying shorts). This edition also includes new introductions from Ralph Eggleston (who created Pixar's very first colour script for Toy Story) as well as Harley Jessup, and Sharon Calahan - award-winning production designers and cinematographers at Pixar whose decades of experience have shaped many of Pixar's classic films and the visual process of their creation.

Packaged in a luxe slipcase, this collectible collection is a treasure trove of artwork for aspiring animators and Pixar fans alike.
