Author description

Henriette Sauvant was born in 1967, studied illustration in Hamburg, and became well-known for her beautiful book covers. This selection of fairy tales was nominated for the German Childrens' Book Prize. She lives with her family in Hamburg. Anthea Bell has worked as a translator for many years, primarily in French and German. Her translations include many classic works for young people. She has been awarded a number of prizes and is one of the most highly regarded translators working today. She lives in Cambridge.
