Chris Maton and Mark Edwards once ran a landscape design and construction company together in London. Their innovative designs were featured in many lifestyle and garden magazines. They won a gold medal at the widely acclaimed Chelsea Flower Show and regularly designed show gardens for clients at the Hampton Court Flower Show. They have since parted ways and established separate companies. Both Maton and Edwards are experienced lecturers in their field and have also worked as presenters for television. Richard Key is the author of several successful garden design and practical construction books, and an experienced landscape designer who also lectures in landscape construction and design. He has won medals at the Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower shows and designed two feature gardens for the BBC Gardens by Design series. He also runs his own landscape practice. Richard was elected a Fellow of the Society of Garden Designers in 2001; he was also previously the Vice Chairman and Treasurer. Toby Buckland is a horticulturalist and garden designer with a wealth of literary experience. He writes for the Daily Express and is a regular contributor to Carol Vorderman's Better Homes and Gardens programme, BBC's Garden Magic and Granada Breeze's Cook's Gardens. He is also well-known as the presenter for the BBC's Gardeners' World from 2008-10. In 2008 Toby won the RHS and Best in Show for his Ethical Garden at Gardeners' World Live. In 2009 he won the Environmental Award from the Garden Media Guild, and in 2011 he launched an online plant nursery.
